OCTOBER 2nd, VISIT and FAREWELL COCKTAIL at MARQ ( Archaeology Museum )

MARQ is an archaeology museum which is dedicated to displaying its collection in a traditional way; as a collection of classified and catalogued finds. MARQ is a project faced with the challenge of being the first archaeological museum of the 21st century.

We will visit The Body Beautiful Exhibition
This new exhibition is the result of a partnership between the British Museum and MARQ. It is a journey through the artistic representation of the human body in Greek art, from its real life embodiment to the mythical and imaginary. It covers early Cycladic female representations to representations in a variety of mediums and materials of the late Hellenistic period, at the beginning of the Roman Empire. These include marble sculptures – originals and Roman copies - , carvings, terracottas, red and black-figured pottery and bronzes.
