We are glad to announce the 10^th International Conference on Biobased and Biodegradable Polymers (BIOPOL-2026) to be held in Pisa (Italy) on July 21^st-23^rd.

1^st and 2^nd BIOPOL were organized in Alicante (Spain) in October 2007 and 2009. BIOPOL-2011 was held in Strasbourg (France), BIOPOL-2013 in Rome (Italy), BIOPOL-2015 in Donostia-San Sebastian (Spain), BIOPOL-2017 in Mons (Belgium) and BIOPOL-2019 in Stockholm (Sweden), while the first conference after the COVID-19 pandemics went back to Alicante in November 2022, followed by BIOPOL-2024 in Coimbra (Portugal).

All these previous conferences were successful, with more than 200 researchers from around the world presenting their latest results on this field, indicating the current growing interest for the specific topics addressed.

The success of the previous editions aimed us to organize this 10th edition, hosted by Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering of the University of Pisa (Italy).

Pisa hosts the UNESCO World Heritage Site Piazza del Duomo (Piazza dei Miracoli), an outstanding ensemble of four medieval monuments: the Leaning Tower (bell tower), the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Monumental Cemetery. Set within a historic urban fabric and a rich cultural context, Pisa offers an ideal environment for scientific exchange, networking, and the development of new collaborations, while providing participants with a memorable cultural experience.
